Hi everyone, My name is Marike van Lingen and I have a background in Psychobiology (University of Amsterdam, 2015) and Neurosciences (VU University, 2018). I have a broad interest in the workings of the brain, ranging from the cellular level to understanding cognitive functioning. I therefore love working in an interdisciplinary team, and being able to perform both clinical research (i.e. MRI/MEG/neuropsychological assessment) but also work in the lab to study brain tissue under the microscope!
Being a jack of all trades team member has led me to become a lab manager of the MULTINET team. I work on my own project (using resting-state MEG functional connectivity to predict surgical outcome), the T-MULT project of Lucas Breedt, perform immunohistochemistry fluorescent stainings on (glioma and healthy) brain tissue in the lab together with Dorien Maas, and assist with neuropsychological assessments for several ongoing projects. Furthermore I take care of data management, analysis, and coordination of (pre)processing of imaging data, and introduce new lab members to our lab practices.
